Family Houweling [1]:

This part of my family came from Woubrugge, a small village in the northern part of the province Zuid-Holland. Pieter Lourensz. Houweling married Lena Klaasd. Snoekerd in 1754. Both were born in Woubrugge and lived in Outshoorn. Marijtje, one of their seven children, moved to Noordwijk and she lived there for several years.

In 1857, on June 8, Hermanus Houweling and his wife Adriana Waasdorp departed with five children to Alblasserdam. Their son Jacobus Houweling met Clasina Overweel and they married in 1878 in Rotterdam. With twelve children I think the house was really full of noise. Jacobus Houweling, number seven in the row, married Rosalia van der Burg. They were my grandparents.

On 13 October 1920 Jacobus Houweling married Rosalia van der Burg a daughter of Pieter Jacobus van der Burg and Barendina van den Broek.
